This is a very elegant solution. However, I've been accomplishing the same thing using Mimosa to pre-compile my client-side Jade to HTML first during the build process, so that stock Durandal can use them. Since this has to compile the Jade in real-time, how have you found the performance of the apps that use your solution compared to raw HTML? Also, as the Jade docs say, the browser version "only supports the very latest browsers though, and is a large file." Have you found that to be a problem?

What would be really nice is if Durandal could be made to work with pre-compiled templates, but I'm not sure how that would work with the viewEngine and binding.
