I've been interested in zlib performance myself, and found your comparative benchmark tool which I've now tried on OS X. A few thoughts/suggestions/FYIs:

• the executable you call is called minigzip on OS X, not minigzip64
• Apple's clang 3.5 compiler crashes on the CloudFare version when building with PCLMULQDQ support
• It'd be useful if the pretty printer had the option to group the results by compression level, like you show them in the article through which I found this repo
• It'd also be useful if the script calculated and showed an overall performance metric (1 for compression, 1 for decompression) and showed that for the 3 zlib versions. Not that I think it'd be the case here, but combining individual averages into a global average can work out differently than you'd expect on first glance.

I can't say I'm impressed with the gains esp. at the higher compression levels, and not at all for decompression. Have you been using any of these performance patches yourself, in the end?
