The backend must give control over:

• The trains behaviour and speed as well as other train functions
• Switches and Signals all around the railroad
• Sensors and their states
• A railroad plan with the known trains at their positions
• A automatic and half automatic driving mode for the trains

• Implement Importent rail components
• Secure correct rail creation

Trains need to types of driving modes. An automatic mode and an self driving mode.

Self driving:

• The tracking should not be lost
• Switches must be manually controllable for reservated blocks

Auto driving:

• Calculation of the best path
• Emergency control must be allowed
• Driving along the path must function: Switches must be set to the correct positions at the correct time

Both:

• Rails speed limits must be applied correctly to the train
• Sensors and Signals must be correctly reservated
