Dear Prof. Julian Faraway,
I am trying to install your package and am using the command:
with_libpaths(new="C:/Program Files/R/R-3.6.1/library/",install_github("julianfaraway/brinla"))
I get the error message:
Error: Failed to install 'brinla' from GitHub:
(converted from warning) package ‘INLA’ is not available (for R version 3.6.1)
Yet I have INLA installed on my computer: This is INLA_19.09.18 built 2019-09-18 17:52:48 UTC.
See www.r-inla.org/contact-us for how to get help.
Do you know what is wrong?
I can't install brinla
Here's what I entered:
devtools::install_github("julianfaraway/brinla")
Here's the error message:
Error: .onLoad failed in loadNamespace() for 'pkgload', details: call: NULL error: package ‘testthat’ does not have a namespace
I've already installed (and used) INLA; my devtools package is current, I'm using Windows 10 and R4.0.3.
Hello Julian,
This "issue" is more of a question. Do you have any existing functions or code that can be used to apply the bri.beta.resid to a spatial model fit in INLA using the "beta" family fitted using the popular SPDE spatial models?
Tinkering with the code it seems like the matrix sizes become much larger than in the non-spatial matrices calculated in the bri.beta.resid function (presumably due to the sparseness of the distance matrix in the spatial flavor) and this creates a mismatch (and a subsequent error) for the calculation of the residuals. My ultimate goal is to look at semi-variograms between a non-spatial and spatial beta regression model to see how the spatial term deals with the residual autocorrelation.
