depinning / updating deps compat
I had an issue with a package today since SeisIO/SeisBase pins HTTP to a very old version:

Locally I tried removing all compat requirements, which failed due to changes in the HDF5 API in more recent versions of that package. For more widespread adoption of this package, it would be useful to update compat of deps to the latest version on as many of the deps as possible
Register SeisBase?
@stepholinger just submitted an awesome PR (JuliaSeismo/SeisNoise.jl#113) to move SeisNoise.jl to using SeisBase. I'd like to have SeisBase registered as an official Julia package before making it a SeisNoise dependency - see install issue here JuliaSeismo/SeisNoise.jl#113 (comment).
SeisBase is passing all tests - is it ready to register? https://github.com/JuliaRegistries/General/blob/master/README.md
Coverage tests
We should probably have tests for the coverage of the package and display a badge on the home page!
