In the Consumer class, the logic that checks the amount of consumed messages does not work for the case where there are no messages in the queue.
In that case, if no timeout has been specified, the method will return immediately. It seems to assume that the API call to SQS is blocking...

Reproduced with php 5.6, Sf 2.8, aws-sdk-php 3.96.0: running the consumer process does leak memory, unless we add here and there a call to gc_collect_cycles().

It would be nice to be able to define the configuration of a queue and let the bundle create it automatically, just as we can do for the rabbitmq bundle...

(tested using ElasticMQ as surrogate of SQS, but this probably applies as well to the real thing)

Running a consumer process with a timeout of, say, 60 secs, will result in a fatal error.

This is due to the fact that we pass the consumer-timeout down to the AWS API call as WaitTimeSeconds parameter which

• does activate long-polling logic
• seems to be limited to 20 secs max

A better logic is probably to decouple the WaitTimeSeconds parameter from the timeout parameter gotten from the Consumer command
