in the code comment you mentioned that the port must be access to vlan other than vlan , and in ES you are looking for "native vlan mismatch" , however in this scenario the switch won't generate native vlan mismatch logs , this will be generated if the new switch is connect to the old one with trunk port and native vlan set other than the one configured on the old one .
