The instruction:
You can get your HUBOT_KANDAN_HOST and HUBOT_KANDAN_TOKEN variables on kandanapp by clicking on App Settings while in Kandan:
Is wrong.

There is no such thing as "App Settings", at least not any longer since kandan is no longer apart of Cloudfuji. And since there is no explanation to what HUBOT_KANDAN_HOST or TOKEN there is really no way to figure out what to do.

Why would this possibly be closed without listing a resolution --

I've added github-commits.coffee from hubot-scripts into scripts/ and added prerequisites for that.

When I pushed "TestHook" button in GitHub WebHook page, I got the following error:
(the hook URL is set to http://my-app.herokuapp.com/hubot/gh-commits?room=1)

Am I missing some setting? Sorry if this is not a hubot-kandan's issue.
