Assignments week3

@kenmurithi @Nyasita and @gladys, we have these assignments to complete:

๐Ÿ›ฃ Start your Roadmap and comment on your issue with your draft Roadmap: https://mozilla.github.io/open-leadership-training-series/articles/opening-your-project/start-your-project-roadmap/

Let's do this.

Also, do you guys have access to the projects tab? add to the to do list, in progress and done lists

Week 5

  • Come up with a good website design that we will use
  • Create the actual website and see how functional it is
  • Fix issues and bugs as they come along
  • Seek help where we need it or change what needs to be changed in the website
  • Follow-up to be handled by @Nyasita

week 7_ web scraping

  • Write a sketch of the website and share it with the mentor
  • Seek assistance with web scraping
  • Conduct the weekly meeting

Week 6

  • We have an active site. But we need to link our pages and do some cleanup to make the page pretty based on how we want it to look like.
  • Update documentation to ensure everyone in the team can edit the page easily, mainly the HTML, and CSS.
  • Update the README, license, and contributing files
  • Start the discussion on web mining to pull content into the pages.

Discussion we might need to have.

  • How we know people are clicking on our page (the metrics, testing metrics on gh pages- who do we ask these questions)
  • Possible problems we might encounter during the development (we need to read a lot here on web development and web mining)
  • What are our feedback points with our target audience so that we ensure we are building something they'll use often?
  • At what point do we deploy to users? (put this in form of weeks, like week 10)
  • We talked about having a database of schools. Having this as we deploy would be really productive to get feedback from parents and students. To start reaching out to them and finding out about their calendars for next year to coincide with them to spread the word
