This code is a modification of existing VTK 5.8 GPU Volume Rendering code to enable the simultaneous rendering of two input datasets.
A demo is provided as an example.

Gaps are displayed after user transform when using too large dataset

There is something wrong with the user transformation. If I move the second volume around I get gaps in my second volume. It seems that it only happens if I displace the volume in the Z-direction.
Resizing my volume data to half the size solved the problem.

I couldn't reproduce it with the run_example1.sh. I have attached a screenshot of what it looks like:
