I'm still too new to Ember to properly debug this on my own, unfortunately.

I'm running into the following error:

Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'proto' of undefined

I think the setContent function should html encode what it passes to the DOM, otherwise a entered script tag would get parsed as a script and introduce a vulnerability to XSS.

  setContent: function() {
    return this.$().html(Ember.Handlebars.Utils.escapeExpression(this.get('value')));
  }

I am not sure what the intention about the plaintext option is, so that probably still might need some tweaking.

This is not an issue, just wanted to share.

When you hold down a letter key when you're typing, you'd expect the letter to keep repeating but this component seems to cancel that behavior - any way to keep that behavior?

If I copy paste a text from a word doc then extra paragraph tag is being inserted in the div. How to get rid of that problem?
