appium-source-viewer's Issues

GitHub repository name seems strange

This repository name is appium-error-screen-source, but actual app name is SourceViewer. I think it is inconsistent and appium-error-screen-source is not appropriate name for this Appium screen shot and source viewer.

"Search for Element" does not finish

When I clicked "Search for Element" button and tried to search the element, the search never finished..

I'm afraid some JS error was thrown, but it seems there is no way to launch Chrome developer tool on this Electron app and check the JS error.

Please provide Linux AppImage for download

This project is already set up to produce AppImages, so it would be nice if you could provide one for download on GitHub Releases.

Providing an AppImage would have, among others, these advantages:

  • Applications packaged as an AppImage can run on many distributions (including Ubuntu, Fedora, openSUSE, CentOS, elementaryOS, Linux Mint, and others)
  • One app = one file = super simple for users: just download one AppImage file, make it executable, and run
  • No unpacking or installation necessary
  • No root needed
  • No system libraries changed
  • Works out of the box, no installation of runtimes needed
  • Optional desktop integration with appimaged
  • Optional binary delta updates, e.g., for continuous builds (only download the binary diff) using AppImageUpdate
  • Can optionally GPG2-sign your AppImages (inside the file)
  • Works on Live ISOs
  • Can use the same AppImages when dual-booting multiple distributions
  • Can be listed in the AppImageHub central directory of available AppImages
  • Can double as a self-extracting compressed archive with the --appimage-extract parameter

Here is an overview of projects that are already distributing upstream-provided, official AppImages.

If you have questions, AppImage developers are on #AppImage on irc.freenode.net.

Search element input does not accept text paste

Version: SourceViewer 0.0.2

When I clicked "Search for Element" icon and tried to search element by copy-and-pasting text to theSelector input area, I found the Selector input area does not accept paste by command+V.

Automatically load XML source tree

An image is automatically loaded to the viewer just by specifying the image file path, but on the other hand a source tree is not loaded automatically even after specifying the source path. I always must click Refresh button to load the source tree.
I'm glad if source tree is automatically loaded.

Element properties viewer

I know Appium Desktop can display various element information such as bounds, clickable, checked, and so on. But this viewer does not support such features. I'd like to see such property information with this viewer.
