Oh, those images are very interesting. They are in the same direction as newer spokes, i.e. it is not a question of the plugin not redrawing data in a particular direction. It could be related to how we talk to OpenGL, or maybe even a difference in your OpenGL driver.
What video card + driver do you have?
Does the ghost image go away when you disable and then re-enable the plugin?

OCPN version 3.3.1419
Plugin version used for this test: 1.40312
lenovo X230 laptop
Windows 7
Intel HD Graphics 4000
original Intel driver, driver date 21.8.2012
Yes, the ghost image goes away after re-enabling the plugin. In fact, I cannot reproduce the problem after disabling, restarting OCPN and re-enabling while I could reproduce the problem before re-enabling.
