Flipper is a live visual project that was made for ADIRECTOR Channel at Dollhouse B-Space, Omotesando, Tokyo. It was made with Unity and mainly features the skeletal geometric effects and the flipbook effect.

System requirements

  • Unity 2018.2
  • Windows System with DX11 support

How to open this project with Unity

This repository includes some submodules. Before opening the project with Unity, not only the repository itself but also these submodules have to be synced up.

If you're using Git from the command line, please run git submodule init and git submodule update in the project directory to sync the submodules. Or you can just use the --recursive option when initially cloning the repository.

crash when hitting play

hey, thanks for this repo! I would like to check it.

i clonned the full repo with (git bash 2.18):
$ git clone --recurse-submodules -j8 https://github.com/keijiro/Flipper.git

I am with up to date windows 10 x64 and last Unity just updated too (I tryed with previous 2018 version too).

If I check my DirectX version I see that I have version 12. Should I install some previous 11 version?

but It's crashing with this error.log:

How do you use UPM for you packages?

Hi.
We are talking about your workflow using Unity package manager here
I see that you have upm branch for some of your repositories and here in Package folder you define these packages as git submodules. so we have to sync these submodules using git and then they will appear in UPM as packages. and as they will sync locally in Packages folder, we have to repeat this workflow for each project.
So I want to know what is the point of doing this and how upm helps you here?
Am I missing something?
