I would like to have the app show me visually when the webhook was succesful, sometimes it doesn't react or sometimes I'm not sure if I have pressed the button properly.
I would like to see a some visual feedback if possible. (e.g. a temporary green border around the entire screen).
It also seems that sometimes I am a little bit too fast and the watch hasn't made a connection with the phone yet, could this also be shown on screen? e.g. "Connecting to Phone...."
Check out the Switchr app for inspiration .
I think these apps merged into one would be perfect.
It starts, but IFTTT does not respond when I press the button.
Are there step-by-step instructions on how to do this?
I'm also curious to know how to check which version is currently installed. When I launch the fitbit app, select my device, choose Apps, I can eventually get to where I can pick fitbit-hooks, but then it just keeps spinning on a mostly blank window.
I know how to add and to delete the entire custom URL, but how do I edit it? The URL could be long so I'd rather not re-enter the whole thing. I suppose as a work around if there was an option to copy the existing URL to the clipboard, then I could delete and re-add by pasting it, making changes before I save it.
It seems like you have to wait a while before your taps start working. Sometimes the vibration will come much later, so you will accidentally press the button multiple times. The feedback needs to be improved. Maybe don't show the buttons until a connection is confirmed? Or store the taps locally until they can be synchronized and confirmed?
This doesn't seem to be maintained anymore.
I plan on forking and continuing on bscott/fitbit-hooks
Hi. Does it work with Versa2 or am I doing something wrong?
Can you add a message so I'll know whether the sync was successful, and if not successful give an error that indicates what the problem is?
Bonjour,
Would it be easy to add POST method to this app?
Let's say one API only accept POST. The current GET functionality is ignored.
I'm looking for a nice solution to control lights that are inside Home-Assistant. The only manner to control these are by a Post with Json data inside Is it possible to create such or already in this app? To have a seperate field to configure the sending json data.
For information: https://developers.home-assistant.io/docs/en/external_api_rest.html
I finally got this configured, but I am unable to get a button to work. I have copy and pasted the API key and made sure my trigger was correct ( can you send you more info privately if needed). I am not sure why my text isn't showing up.
Is is possible to have vibration feedback on buttons pressed?
Also, are the hardware buttons available to be mapped to shortcuts? Not sure if it's open to devs.
Hello,
For the key problem, i'm like other people i think the problem should be solve soon.
But i tried to create a custom url like lumbureau:https://maker.ifttt.com/trigger/lumbureau/with/key/xxxxxxxx
and the app on the versa said No hook avaible please check the parameters in app.
Was trying to synch but no result.
Im on versa
Thanks
I'm trying to trigger commands in BetterTouchTool from my Fitbit. The following example (without the button name prefix) works perfectly in the other Fitbit App "Switchr", but not in Hooks. I wonder if Hooks supports port numbers?

Hey Kenniy,
I bought a Versa today and this app looks perfect for what I was hoping to find!
However, it seems in Settings on the FitBit App (on my phone) I can't tap in the IFTTT API Key input to paste my key, and it won't show the placeholder either.
Am I missing something or is the TextInput misconfigured? Does it require a title or label?
Cheers!
Would it be possible to send API calls to a WiFi device connected to the phone? Or connect the Fitbit to that device through WiFi settings? It is not a public address but local to the phone/device?
Thanks in advance.
