web's Issues

OS Windows 10 Ver. 1909
Firefox 83.0 (Windows x64)
Creative USB Sound Blaster Digital Music Premium HD
(48000Hz 16bit)

  • D.P.S SG
  • D.P.S SG set2
  • D.P.S SG set3
  • Super D.P.S

Passing Command Line Arguments to games

Is there currently a way to pass arguments to games after they are loaded in the web program? After skimming the code, I don't believe there is. Command line args are pretty important, especially to patched/localized versions of System 1-3 games, which basically need the -game argument. I wanted to make sure I hadn't overlooked anything. Sorry if I did!

It would be nice to, say, include an args.txt file in the GAMEDATA folder to specify your desired command line arguments.

Black screen

Hello there.

I'm building this with some modifications for personal use. I followed the readme and built the files, but after uploading it to my server, the game won't run (just a static black screen), even without modifications. I'm using a simple web server. The page seems to load just fine tho.

Thank you!

Unhandled ALD files cause xsystem35 error

When an ALD file contains an unrecognized type character (e.g. "F" in tt2FS.ALD), the function createGr generates an invalid xsystem35.gr file which results in xsystem35 exiting with an error and the game failing to load. This is the error message from xsystem35:

*ERROR*(sys35_initGameDataResorce): Illigal resouce at line(3) file<xsystem35.gr>

I discovered this when I tried to run the English version of Toushin Toshi II. For some reason, this translation contains a file named "tt2FS.ALD" which triggers this error. This file does not appear to be a valid ALD file, and the game works fine if it is deleted. Still, any user creating a .zip file from the English version would encounter this problem.
