Hi @philippejadin,
Thank you for your feature request.
I see one problem with that approach... You won't be able to visually detect duplicate strings across the entire file as you may do with 'sort-keys' => true
in config.
Alternatively, you may do the following:
- Search with a regular string in your editor as described here https://github.com/kkomelin/laravel-translatable-string-exporter#find-untranslated-strings-in-a-language-file
- Vote for the task #20 which is aimed to display untranslated strings in the console.
Please let me know if none of those solutions satisfies you and I will think about what else I can do.
Thanks,
Konstantin

Thank you for the quick reply. I guess that #20 will be fine. Alternatively, maybe in the json file there could be a hint that a string is not translated while keeping the sort by key feature. But as far as I know you can't put comments in json so I don't know how to do it. Maybe indentation ?
This is not a priority I guess

Ah, thanks. Additional indentation is a good idea I think. Let me experiment with it and see if it's possible.
Let's keep the issue open for now.

Decided not to add an additional indentation to the untranslated strings and instead implemented putting them at the top of a translation file. Currently testing the feature. If all goes well, will release it soon.
