acf_tags

A simple Taxonomy for non hierarchical taxonomy aka Tags. This requires the advanced custom fields plugin v5 or greater

-- Installation --

  1. Copy the acf_tags folder into your wp-content/plugins folder or install by uploading the plugin
  2. Activate the plugin via the plugins admin page

-- Instructions --

When activated create a new field in your chosen field group within acf

Field Label : Any Label you wish to use Field Name : Any name you wih to use Field Type : Under the grouping BASIC select the field type Tag

Required : Your Choice Tag Taxonomy : Select a non hierarchical taxonomy (like the default Tags in wordpress) registered to your Post Type

It doesn't work for me

i tried to use it but when i tried to generate a new post in my custom post type the field appear blocked (in gray color) and i can't write.

editing problem

Hi cool plugin, much needed I would say, there's just an issue when you want to edit your post, when your form is in the front end the field doesn't display the tags already posted, and in the backend the field appears grey and you cannot enter value in it.
