It seems Dokka has upgraded to Kotlin 1.1 and as a result the Gradle plugin no longer works at all, for anyone on the stable version? I get a stack trace from Gradle when trying to use Dokka with Kotlin 1.0.6.
I think until this is fixed Dokka should really use the latest stable release of Kotlin because otherwise it's just useless for any Gradle users.
