arch-audit-gtk's Issues

Icon doesn't show on KDE Wayland

The icon doesn't show on KDE Wayland.
arch-audit-gtk 0.3.1-1
Operating System: Arch Linux
KDE Plasma Version: 5.23.5
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.90.0
Qt Version: 5.15.2
Kernel Version: 5.16.1-zen1-1-zen (64-bit)
Graphics Platform: Wayland
Graphics Processor: Mesa Intelยฎ UHD Graphics 620

Introduce new icon for connectivity issues

Sometimes when I am in a funky network, i.e. a public airport before login, arch-audit-gtk can't check my security status due to network connectivity issues. It then displays the broken red shield. This is scary icon! Can we use a different icon if the check failed to due network problems? Maybe a question mark?

Icon doesn't show in GNOME 42 Wayland

Hi, just here to notice that app doesn't run properly in wayland. Running with GDK_BACKEND=x11 arch-audit-gtk make it works.
Although, I don't know how to use it systematically.

Add support to invoke arch-audit with alternative parameters

Currently, the application doesn't allow to specify some of the parameters when invoking the arch-audit binary, like dbpath.

It will be good to support removing the default -u or specifying a different DbPath.
I use btrfs with snapshots and don't take snapshots from /var so I moved the pacman DB to a different location.

I can submit a patch, if the project is still alive

Modern black and white icons

Thank you for this great utility. I've created a set of icons to get the look a little more in line with the current black and white style of the gnome status bar. I haven't currently ested them on KDE or i3. What do you think of them? Is there a chance to include them in the package (maybe as an option)?

If you like them, I would be happy to create a pull request containing the SVG files.

This is how it looks on the gnome3 status bar:
screenshot

The different icons look like this. They work well on a light or dark background.

  • No updates (check.svg)
    check
  • Updates available (alert.svg)
    alert
  • Error (cross.svg)
    cross

New Icons and default folder for icons

I edited some icons for myself and decided to share them in case you would want to use them. Here's the link. They look like this:

check1 check2
alert1 alert2
cross1 cross2

Also there are black and white themes, so 4 themes in total.

When I was trying to use those icons for myself I notice that by default Arch Audit looks for them in "icons" folder in the Home directory. I wander maybe it would be better to change the default folder to "$HOME/.icons", since I don't need to see my icons folder in the Home directory all the time.

Anyway thanks for the app. Good job.
