Few errors, sure it's me

Hello krishenriksen =]

I just purchased half life, hf bshift and counter strike from steam, installed them, and followed the step by step from RetroGameCorps, on 351elec installed and updated anberports, pre installed all 3 games, transfered the folders to ports>halflife , unziped the 3 zips, pulled the contents to the imported folders and replaced the files.

Half life runs but when I hit start it crashes/quits ,(maybe its like this), but blue shift crashes when I hit new game > easy(or any difficulty level). Counter strike won’t let me start a new game, the option is greyed out. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

redneck rampage 1. 351p 351elec reborn

on 351p 351elec reborn

I was able to get redneck rampage 2 to boot up but not redneck rampage 1. The files are from the same disc and from their own designated folders.

most other ports are working fine including quake 3.

RG351V 351ELEC - Can't navigate Moonlight menu

Title says most of it.

I deleted the .sh and the folder and redownloaded it, same result. I'm on the latest 351ELEC (final).

AnberPorts also says Up to Date.

oga_controls is not running and not present in /moonlight-embedded

Super Crate Box and They Need to be Fed - controls not working

Super Crate Box requires a keyboard to be plugged in before launching the game (to enter name), and seems to be only controllable with the keyboard. There are no controls working after launching the game without the keyboard.

They Need To Be Fed shows a mouse cursor and no controls work. Plugging in a mouse before launching the game and the cursor can be controlled, but pressing a mouse button jumps the cursor to bottom of the screen (no buttons can be selected), and plugging in a keyboard before launching the game, and only Esc and Backspace buttons work, but no options can be selected (not even to exit the game), and the hard-exit button combo only works once, but relaunching the game causes that to fail

moonlight-embedded not generating logs

I'm having an issue with getting moonlight-embedded to do anything except exit or crash back to moonlight's main menu. It's not opening any dialog for me to pair it to PC, and regrettably not generating any logs I can investigate. I've uploaded a YT video showing it in action and can provide that link if it would be helpful.

It's a GBA game with an SDL Linux port (and also PSP, Wii, DS, etc), so it should run fine on the RG351 line. (It's based on old games like Rogue, so performance isn't an issue :P)

For the RG351V, a native port would look much nicer at its resolution compared to the P and M's GBA-ratio screen.

Suggestion: Oolite

Oolite is an open source Elite clone with a Linux version, so possibly a good candidate?

Shadow Warrior does not open

Hello Kris Henriksen! I was hoping you could help with a problem. I cannot get Shadow Warrior to work on RG351p with ArkOS. I downloaded tehe files from AnberPort and have all files. The wiki states that there are 4 files needed to run the game, Sw.grp, sw.rts, GAME.DAT & GAME.IMG. I downloaded the Steam version and added all 4 files to the folder but to no avail. Attached is the log. I've been trying to figure this out for almost 2 weeks. I tried the Gog version too but that came with a .Gog file and not an image file. Any help would be appreciated.

I'm hoping that the fork of EasyRPG made specifically to run OneShot legacy could be ported to Anberports! This is my single most wanted RG351 port, so I hope you'll take a look at it for me.

They were all ported to EmuELEC 4.0 recently so it'd be nice to see them here too.

Port without sources:

Exult engine for Ultima 7. It already uses SDL so hopefully it wouldn't be too difficult to port.

is FOSS, so it wouldn't be difficult I suppose...

It's a GBA game with an SDL Linux port (and also PSP, Wii, DS, etc), so it should run fine on the RG351 line.

I've seen there's a version for RPi now. Considering we use the RPi version of Pico-8, would it be feasible to bring it to AnberPorts?

RG351V: Button mapping issue

I'm having an issue with Diablo 1 port on 351v. the D-pad and buttons and not doing much. I have to use the stick and the L1 button to move. I don't have that issue on the 351m. Am I missing something?

SRB2 on RG351V issues - default controls and 640x480 resolution?

Hi, first congratulations on AnberPorts, I jsut dsiscovered it now runs on 351Elec, and having AM2R on my RG351V is an absolute blast!

I've tried Sonic Robo Blast 2, and the only resolutoin option offered is the RG351P's resolution 480*320. Would it be possible to add 640x480 so we can take full advantage of that really nice screen?

Also I was unable to set up the controls, the Y axis on both the gamepad and stick is reversed.

I will try later on an RG351P, I don't have it with me atm.

Sonic Robo Blast 2 not launching due to MD5 mismatch (?)

What I did was grab the Windows version and copied all of the game's files to the SRB2 folder on my SD card (even though most aren't necessary) according to the log file, "zones.pk3" is having an MD5 mismatch.

I grabbed the files directly from the SRB2 website, obviously

AM2R performance

AM2R performance is much worse now, framerate has hiccups in the initial menu, and game feels slower in the beginning of the gameplay, turning unplayable as soon as you move to the right.

Moonlight Embedded controls on RG351V

Having an issue where the R1 and L1 buttons aren't being passed along through Moonlight. Using the XBox controller mapping on Steam, it doesn't recognize that any buttons are being pressed.

Diablo 1, Descent1/2: Control Issues on ArkOs

Controls are not working properly. I'm using RG351M with ArkOS Final. In main menu using the dpad to navigate it jumps everywhere, sometimes totally skipping options and in game its like there is a ton of button conflicts some buttons barely work and others are making multiple options at the same time when pressed. I tried the built in devilutionx port from ark and that one seems to work well. Sorry for the bad video I hope it explains my problem. Descent 1 and 2 hame the same problem in main menu every next option its skipped. And as a fast edit i seen there is an wine option in system but it fails to download.

Ur-Quan Masters: Distorted Music And Speech

Hello krishenriksen!

I installed port of Ur-Quan Masters on arkOS and it works like a charm except of music (both Precursor remixes and 3DO) and voice over. They sound extremely distorted. Sound effects on the other hand work kinda fine. I tried both sound drivers in the advanced settings but that didn't help. Is it a bug or do I do something wrong?

FIX: Shadow Warrior not launching because ./lib folder is missing

Shadow Warrior won't load in a fresh install because Shadow Warrior.sh assumes that libfluidsynth.so.2 and libfluidsynth.so.1.7.2 are stored in /roms/ports/shadow-warrior/lib but the installer puts them into the game folder instead. Either create /roms/ports/shadow-warrior/lib and move the files there, or edit line 8 of Shadow Warrior.sh so that it reads export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=$GAMEDIR:$LIBDIR:/usr/lib (i.e. remove /lib after $GAMEDIR)

Update AM2R

I know AM2R is already on here, but that version is an outdated one. I was wondering if the newer version could be run instead.

That is a link to the linux version of AM2R V1.5.2. By swapping out the files from the original port (V1.1), I was able to get V1.5.2 running on my RG351p. However, it was probably running at about 15-20 fps. I don't know much about porting, but if someone who knows nothing about this was able to get a working (if slow) version running, then I don't think getting a perfectly running version should be too difficult. I don't know, but I thought I'd suggest it.

Shell Scripts are missing an exclamation mark

Hi my Doom stopped working when I unintentionally redownloaded the setups from the latest Anberports

I noticed shell scripts that are installed all have #bin/bash rather than #!/bin/bash which means they don't start on the RG351P.
Adding this to the following .sh repaired the issue for me (they were launchable via retroarch) - I kept getting an attribute error - I noticed Duke Nukem and Half Life had the exclamation mark (and they were working correctly)

i extracted the zip and copied the contents to the valve folder but when i launch the game the screen goes black and im kicked back to the ports menu. the log file says incorrect gamedata files but im using your provided zip contents.

same thing with Half-Life-Blue-Shift and counter-strike

RG351V 351Elec screen rotated on NAM, Half-Life

With 351Elec on a 351V I can start both NAM, and Half-Life but the screens are rotated (and probably in 351p/m resolution. I tried deleting the lib folders in both (similar to the recommended fix for Quake III in closed issue #8 ) but that just prevented the games from loading altogether and requiring reinstalls from AnberPorts.

I understand this is to do with internal differences from the P&M, seen RetroArena had some work to do on this. Hopefully something simple. Thank you.

Suggestion: Dosbox-X

It would be nice to have Dosbox-X available in AnberPorts as it has much better compatibility with some DOS games (and Windows 3.x) than Dosbox-svn or Dosbox-pure.

Suggestion: OpenXcom port

I learned about AnberPorts today and it's an awesome project! I noticed that Star Control 2: The Ur-Quan Masters is ported already. So I wanted to know if there are any plans to port another open-source project called OpenXCom or OpenXCom Extended (which is even better because it supports more mods)? I asked this question on the Discord and was told to add a suggestion here. So consider this message as my vote on AnberPorts Wiki :)

Kodi issues on ArkOS RG351M

I know this is probably not high on your list, but I wondered if anything springs to mind or if you could offer up any guidance for tracking the issue down.

The program gets to the splash screen, sometimes it makes it to display the home screen for a varying amount of time. It can show between around 0.1-60 seconds. I can navigate around in it fine during this time.

Can't find a definitive trigger for it. The crash log seems to have nothing nefarious in it, normal operation stuff (at the bottom, enabled debugging on it). I installed gdb on a previous card to try and get a stack trace and that section came back empty.

I made some changes to the kodi script in root folder, mostly trying changes out to see if they fix anything. Paths for portable_data and environment variable for Python. No effect except removing a nag from log.txt relating to Python.

Wiki unavailable

The AnberPorts wiki no longer appears to be publicly accessible. The link on the front project page now goes to the sponsorship page, and the link on the sponsorship page (under "Game Files") just goes back to the front project page. Is it gone for good? The data file listings were useful.

Redneck Rampage Error

I'm running the latest version of 351ELWC on RG351M.

After copying over the files from my copy of Redneck Rampage, I get the following error in the log file:

Suggestion: Exult

I would like to see the Exult engine for Ultima 7 in AnberPorts. It already uses SDL so hopefully it wouldn't be too difficult to port.

SMW controls

When playing super mario wars, L trigger and R trigger move mario left and right, and B button jumps. However, it's not possible to get any other controls to work, including in the menus. /home/ark/.smw/controls.sdl2.bin indicates that keyboard keys are used for input: W/S, A/D, Q/E for player 1; Y/H, G/J, T/U for player 2; and P/;, L/', O/[ for player 3.

Is it possible to use oga_controls and it's keyboard remapping feature to control SMW so that menus and all game controls work on RG351P/M?

Error when launching Quake 1

I’m using AnberPorts on an RG351P running 351elec and when I try to run Quake 1 I get this error in the log file:

Port Request: Strange Adventures in Infinite Space

Developers shared their source code in 2005. Also it should not be too hard too port because they state that the code has been converted to use SDL libraries (under GNU Lesser General Public License) instead of DirectX so it should be fairly straightforward to get it to run under Linux etc.

Also this game has a sequel called Weird Worlds: Return to Infinite Space. It's an amazing game! However they didn't share it's source. But it has a free demo and is regularly on 80% sale on steam. I don't know if it would be possible to port this one too. But I'll leave a link just in case.

Hi, I've seen there's a version of SORR (Streets of Rage Remake) for RPi now. Considering we use the RPi version of Pico-8, would it be feasible to bring it to AnberPorts?

Shadow Warrior not running

I cannot get Shadow Warrior to work on RG351p with ArkOS. The wiki states that there are 4 files needed to run the game, Sw.grp, sw.rts, GAME.DAT & GAME.IMG. There arent any Shadow Warrior files that have a GAME.IMG file. GOG has a free version of Shadow Warrior Complete Editon that has the other files, Sw.grp, sw.rts and GAME.DAT. There is a GAME.GOG file that has the program on it but isn't recognized in Anber Ports. Is there another way to run Shadow Warrior on Anber Port? Please advise..
