MongoDB 3.x

I updated the Mondrian Mongo Model tool to work with MongoDB 3.2. Please use the MondrianMongoModel2 repo for that version. If you are unable to authenticate or see your databases & collections with this version of the Modeler, then you probably need to use the new version.

Authentication Error When using credentials

I think there is a problem with MainJFrame.java on line 360. The "Connect" logic doesn't create credentials before trying to connect to the database and list dbs. With a secured Mongo Database, you will not be able to connect and list at all.

The solution is simple, the authentication logic for "Get Collections" should also exist in the "Connect" logic. This can be abstracted to a method of course.

I would fork the code and make this change, but I don't actually know how you're building this particular application.
