aje's Issues

New Feature:Hydrogen breathing jets

Well I want to have jets breathe hydrogen and consume LqdOxygen/LqdOzone(can be done with easy RF modification) for cruise and ascent purpose in gas giant atmosphere.
It has a great advantage since it can support level flight in deeper gas giant atm(at 10atm zone, atm density is 0.8 but rocket engines has already become useless). Also the extremely high sonic speed in Hydrogen atmosphere means that the jets can function at a much higher speed than in Earth atmosphere.
I want to 'land' on Saturn,Uranus and neptune(which means dip into lower atmosphere).
I plan to reach the 50-100 atm level.
Low atm density reletive to pressure means that drag won't be too high, but rocket engines will be ruined. Also low atm density reletive to pressure means the lift will be insufficient for propellers, and this is even worsened becausr of FARc's low lift.So jet is the only solution anyway.

Increase max Tt7

At the moment, the solver gives up and throws an error if a Tt7/TAB greater than 4000 K is required to achieve the desired afterburner thrust, as shown.

Tt7 = 4000d;

While this is a reasonable assumption for a conventional jet engine, liquid hydrogen fueled and other exotic jet engines may actually achieve temperatures this high.
Increasing the limit a bit (even to 4500 K) should give the solver enough headroom to work for hydrogen jet engines will still restricting it to sane results.

Improve air intake TPR descriptions

Air intakes have quite detailed TPR curves but these aren't expressed anywhere ingame. All the information presented to the played is "Designed for subsonic flight", "Optimized for transonic speed", "Optimized for supersonic speed" etc. Should at least make the descriptions more detailed if sampling the curves is too much work.

v2.11.4.1 ckan version issue ksp 1.3.1

Version 2.11.4.1 shows compatible with version 1.4.5 and earlier on ckan but doesn't work with 1.3.1. When players do a fresh 1.3.1 RO/RP-1 ckan install they will get the wrong version of AJE.

I think this will be very confusing for new players.

Adjust the shock cone intake size

The shock cone intake is currently 2.15m, and the engines that would ideally be paired with it, the J58 and ramjet, are both 1.25m in diameter. Likely the shock cone intake should be scaled to match.

Also - I'm not sure if there is something specific that allows/prevents this, but if tweakscale would apply to this intake, that'd be great. It works on some intakes but not on others, and I don't see a particular logic behind which it does/does not work on. Allowing all the intakes to be adjustable would be ideal, but especially the stack-mounted ones.

Support of more fuel and nuclear thermal jet (PLS REPLY!)

I need support for:
1.The fuel variety and combustion energy and ignition temperature veriable as parameters in config files,so we can support more types of fuel(other than LH2,LMe,Kerosene).
2.Nuclear thermal jets(turbojets/ramjets).They are thermal engines not propellers which has aerodynamic output based on RPM,however it does not consume any fuel and thermal system is independent from air since no combustion is needed which differs feom jet engines.
You need to write a source code of this using a seperate .cs file.
(I think I could have reverted to stock jets but I think AJE is orders of magnitude more realistic and I don't want to give up this awesome work.)

Modder Support : config explanation & KSPI configs

I need a explanation for the parameters in your cfgs.
You can refer to MIT's nice page. That'll be OK.
Also, the purpose is to write a proper cfg for KSPI's Nuclear TurboJet&Ramjet. If you can do this, pls help me.
Well, you can disable KSPI's initial cfg(using its own system, maybe kinda incompetitable with your AJE system.
Parameters:
Nuclear ramjet (Scramjet-rated):No static thrust, begin to have thrust at M0.8,resonable 300kN at M2,very good 800 kN at M3,peak thrust 1000kN at M8,800kN at M12,thrust drops quickly at M14.
Nuclear turbojet:static thrust 250kN,peak thrust 1000kN at M2,thrust drops quickly at M4.
*Nuclear jets SHOULD perform better since no combustion is needed!
This is for effective RSS SSTO design!
Also the nuclear is jet is realistic since project Pltuo's Tory engine has been tested, however they should be rated for 2020s tech level and should perform better.

Negative BHP/Fuel Flow at low RPM

gl6ccbt

It only happens until around 4% throttle before going positive. A look at the propeller config didn't show anything obviously out of the norm compared to other configs in the file. I've not modified anything myself, this is with the config for KAX that ships with AJE. The Brake Shaft Power reads negative HP as well

Prop engines and quickload

Quickloading into a save that has prop engine at idle will break the physics. It's likely related to the fact that the engine produces negative thrust at idle.

FARBasicDragModel Still in use.

Okay, I got bored and was poking around in my KSP.log and saw this ...

gertsonderby/RealPlanes#3 (comment)

But, still exists on these parts:
GameData/AJE/Parts/Props/TwinWasp86.cfg
GameData/AJE/Parts/Props/TwinWasp94.cfg

I'll do a pull request and delete the Module later today unless I hear otherwise.
