I the first major chunk of this project all at once in a coding frenzy, there may be some artifacts left over

This would be neat because we could initialize templates entirely using one npx command

This is a system that would make scripting convenient after a project has already been initialized. Things like creating new pages on a web server, or other kinds of repetitive tasks :)

Maybe copy base code from Sandhands?

They could make it possible to use hot-reload while using babel, webpack, vite, etc

Currently installed templates automatically update themselves. This isn't a terrible thing except it could cause breaking changes to the gems (compared to the user's local project). Perhaps the gems should be automatically copied into the users project (that way they don't end up getting updated)

we could support https:// or something to designate a URL

By sandboxing the templates during generation we can stop a significant risk of malware

Revamping the argument system would be cool, it would be nice to have things like editable lists or an interactive GUI (perhaps by opening a server temporarily so the user can setup the template in their browser)

This could prevent people from using templates if they become broken (say to dependency updates or anything really)

I'm pretty sure the current dependency tree is massive

One use case is I'd like there to be a set of plugins to allow you to use emerald scripts from other languages (for example script.py.emerald-script)

possibly use file metadata

should also support cloning templates without storing the template permanently
