Translations

If you are interested in translating Laravel Best Practices, fork this repo on GitHub and publish your localized fork to your own GitHub Pages account. We'll link to your translation from the primary document.

To avoid fragmentation and reader confusion, please choose one of these options:

  1. We link to your GitHub Pages fork with [username].github.io/laraveltherightway
  2. We link to your GitHub Pages fork with a subdomain (e.g. "ru.laraveltherightway.com")

If you use a subdomain, enter the subdomain into the CNAME file, and ask us to setup DNS for you. If you do not use a subdomain, remove the CNAME file entirely else your fork will not build when pushed.

When your translation is ready, open an issue on the Issue Tracker to let us know.

Why

There's been a lot of discussion lately about how the PHP community lacks sufficient, credible information for programmers new to PHP. This repository aims to solve this problem.

Translation to Russian

Hello, guys.

I'm really found of sites like this and decided to make a translation to Russian. I'll be pleased if it is needed (:

You can see it with following url

Suggestion: Make content more readable?

Just came across this resource now - Pretty handy reference.

Right away though, I was compelled to open the inspector and override default styles just so I could read the content.

Suggestion:

.site-content{
    padding: 20px 40px 40px 320px;
    font-family: sans-serif;
    max-width: 800px;
    margin: 0 auto;
    font-size: 125%;
    line-height: 135%;
}

domain expired

the domain www.laravelbestpractices.com was temporarily parked in godaddy as im not able to renew it right away. I should be renewed now.
I apologize for that particular issue, as i dont have money to pay for the renewal that time..
but should be good now :)

Please update your site for laravel 5.5+

Your site has been very helpful for me so far. Now that the laravel 5.5 has been released. It would be awesome to update your site for that.

Thank you for your work so far.

ads placement

Hi Guys,

For people who has been following this project and been using this. I had tried my best not to place ads on this site, or endorse any commercial paid products. This is to make the content pure and community-driven as much as possible (vs being influenced by commercial products).

The amount of contribution made to the project however had declined over the past several years, which means I have to step-in and keep the operations going. I have to also ensure the domain keeps renewed, site is SEO optimized and keep updated with the latest Laravel versions.

I'm a freelance developer and my time unfortunately is very limited. In order to make sure I could sustain the project, I decided to place 1 Google Adsense to the site. This will at least keeps the project self-sufficient, the ads revenue will be spend on renewing the domains and paying a VA (virtual assistant) who will keep the Facebook page updated and constantly researching for any new best practices out there.

Hope you guys understand,
Darwin

update to 5.1?

What do you think to update external links to laravel 5.1? or create subdivisions for releases versions?
