Hi, I've just moved to a fresh install of Debian Stretch from Jessie and after years of flawless service I'm now encountering a syntax error when I try to run Evrouter.

Hi there ! I want to share my experience with linux hotkey/macro systems.
I have been using evrouter for almost 2 years to take care of a couple of key-mappings. However, recently I came across another tool called autokey (an effort to implement a system like autohotkey in linux ) which is more capable and better maintained than evrouter. Why I think autokey is better ? Several reasons:

• Has a nice GUI to configure things.
• Is more modern and maintained by quite a group of people (python definitely has a larger community).
• Is more powerful to define macros and has built-in scripting abilities.
• evrouter after Ubuntu 17.x introduced some lags to my system but autokey did not.
• autokey distinguished numpad keys better. (e.g. numpad-star is different than regular-star)
