Regex is awesome. Go do some exercises. This lab is test-driven so just run the testing suite to get started.

All your work should be done directly in the spec, spec/regex_rally_spec.rb.

Change wording for matching character before the @ symbol and the @ symbol itself

Spec starting on line 87 isn't very clear. Should read:

it "matches the character before **the @ symbol** and the @ symbol ** itself**" do
      my_regex = //

      match = %w{[email protected] [email protected] [email protected] }
      do_not_match = %w{ "user at example.com", "@example.com" }

      match.each do |word|
        expect(my_regex).to match(word)
      end

      do_not_match.each do |word|
        expect(my_regex).to_not match(word)
      end
    end

Public batch lab differentiates from newest version here

The lab at https://github.com/learn-co-students/regex_rally-000 is pretty different from this one, looks like it is still an older version.

Phone number solution possibly wrong

Wouldn't /\d/ not match the hyphens in the phone number? Or the parentheses for the area code?

email and phone # sections way too hard

None of my students have been able to solve them without googleing a "regex phone number validation", etc. We don't actually expect the students to write email and phone number validator that will work in every situation so we shouldn't have those sections/we should re-write those sections.
