RFE: check select()

This one’s a little weird since select() returns -1, not undef, on failure.

Test failures with non-English locale

On some of my smokers:

Probably happens if a non-English locale is in effect (in this case LC_ALL=de_DE.ISO8859-1) and it's an older perl.

At $work we have a custom exception system. It would be nice for autocroak to have some facility we could plug into so that we’d get our custom errors rather than having to translate from, e.g., autodie::exception.
