androidinteractivestorytreehouse's Introduction

Hi there ๐Ÿ‘‹

  • ๐Ÿ”ญ Iโ€™m currently working on improving existing testing and architecture, improving outcomes on tech projects @techlete, I'm the owner of @CODESIGN2 and I work at a UK startup / accelerator specialising in finance and technology.
  • ๐ŸŒฑ Iโ€™m currently learning about patience, persistence, advanced disaster recovery and compassionate, effective communication.
  • ๐Ÿ‘ฏ Iโ€™m looking to collaborate on OpenSource Libre projects, that respect the users as much as the dev team.
  • ๐Ÿค” Iโ€™m looking for help with patience, compassionate and effective communication, commercial opportunities to deliver value.
  • ๐Ÿ’ฌ Ask me about risk, improving reliability and lowering downtime, linux and my favourity projects.
  • ๐Ÿ“ซ How to reach me: open an issue or submit a PR, preferably both in-order given.
  • ๐Ÿ˜„ Pronouns: he/him or anything neutral.
  • โšก Fun fact: Computers are not magic boxes. They are applied physics through (often commodity A.K.A mass-market) engineering. You need to set boundaries if you want to do cool things.

If you're thinking (corr, this fella does, nothing; I also have separate work GitHub accounts latest Job, moved from GitLab end of July 2023

androidinteractivestorytreehouse's Issues

Unit tests

Right now this has no unit tests... That sucks, it needs some

Story build & save

It would also be great to be able to build a story from the application. I'm thinking start with canned media and allow text to be changed, work from there so that a story can be loaded from disk somehow (XML or JSON, even SQLite why not all?).

Looks awful on newer android

The UI looks AWFUL in newer android. Perhaps this will just be UI XML updates to components, but if not they need to go. It looks terrible

Change story

The story is a bit fun, but I'd like to add other activity types and elements, maybe borrow from some old dice-rolling books...

Change Graphics

The graphics are from another source. I should get into illustrator and create more fitting graphics, and potentially a tablet experience

More activity types

So right now it's a choose your own adventure, with emphasis on the choice. It might make it more fun to use random choices, perhaps have a character matrix so that choices influence future decisions.
