this is a javascript back-end for system recommender

#Tech

1. Database: PostgreSQL
2. Express
3. Node

#Installation

make sure you have installed in following in your machine:

1. Node and npm. if not follow the link to install https://docs.npmjs.com/downloading-and-installing-node-js-and-npm
2. PostgresSQL. if not, follow the link to install https://www.postgresql.org/download/

#Setup

1. clone the project to you local machine: git clone https://github.com/lgmohale/digi-solutions-project.git
2. cd into the project: cd digi-solutions-project
3. install npm packages: npm install

#setup database

1. create database and give it a name: for expample, CREATE DATABASE (name)
2. run the file "digiDB.sql" to create tables and insert data.
3. finally assign database and table privileges to the user

#Run the project

1. run the back-end server: node server.js you should get: Server is running.. on Port 8080
