if i reopen thunderbird, the x-unsent function is lost, until i reinstall the addon, each time i reopen tb again .. .

Work perfectly with my old version of Thunderbird but not with the 60.0 one

I have an EML file with HTML and an embedded image, the image is not displayed whenever Thunderbird is not launched first.

close Thunderbird, dblClick on the EML file, the image is broken

start Thunderbird, dblClick on the EML, the image is ok.

(EML not supported by Github)

If Thunderbird is not already open, an .eml file will always opened in display mode, regardless of the X-Unsent header.

Affected: version 3.0.0 version for TB 68

If the add-on fails to find the end of the headers (i.e. because the eml file has an invalid format), it unfortunately does an endless loop, leading to Thunderbird to stop working.

Before adding eml in the file/save as section.

here's a strange issue i'd like you to fix or make sure it doesn't happen, if i save the eml through the method above..

When i'm done with my eml edition, i save it to dafts (actual trick to still save without x-unsent
& add x-unsent later through text edition of the eml file:

& here is what it looks like in dafts, (enlarged).. & i didn't request it, so i have to change +1 to +0 in the eml file for size..

Please fix this, it's driving nuts & shouldn't be there.

work on outlook 2010 but not thunderbird 38.6.0
an idea ?

& finally, for every edited email window,
please take the time to add that "Eml" option
Above "Draft", in File/Save As, making sure everytime i save
that eml, the tag "X-Unsent: 1" is Saved too, above "MIME-Version"
& X-Priority: 2 (High) if it's used.. during edition,
it needs to be saved too, when i save as eml.

elm-editor is absolutely not what i'm looking for, & it's full of bugs,
i absolutely need the freedom to open eml files from any folders & even folders
superposed and never from a button "inside thunderbird". buttons change folders
items positions when reselected. while windows folders change only when moved around.

& 1. open an eml (clearly shown with clear body & in edition mode)
2. try to save it
3. open any eml
4: Empty body.

Please just add the Eml option for saving in File, if you can do it.

Can you modify the code to make it work for Thunderbird 78+
As long as Thunderbird does not support X-Unsent, your extension will be essential for many users.

Bug https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=166541 was recently fixed. This means that the add-on should no longer be needed in Thunderbird 91.0b2 and later.

It would be great, if this plugin could also open eml files in compose mode, if the file was opened via the File - Open - Saved message ... menu, in addition to the commandline opening method.
