Introduction

MMSegmentation is an open source semantic segmentation toolbox based on PyTorch. It is a part of the OpenMMLab project.

The master branch works with PyTorch 1.5+.

Major features
  • Unified Benchmark

We provide a unified benchmark toolbox for various semantic compression methods.

  • Modular Design

We decompose the learning based compression framework into different components and one can easily construct a customized AI compression framework by combining different modules.

  • Support of multiple methods out of box

The toolbox directly supports popular and contemporary AI compression frameworks, e.g. NLAIC, TinyLIC, etc.

  • High efficiency

The training speed is faster than or comparable to other codebases.

Contributing

We appreciate all contributions to improve MMCompression. Please refer to CONTRIBUTING.md for the contributing guideline.

Acknowledgement

MMCompression is an open source project that welcome any contribution and feedback. We wish that the toolbox and benchmark could serve the growing research community by providing a flexible as well as standardized toolkit to reimplement existing methods and develop their own new AI compression methods.

mmcompression_open's Issues

isssues about user documents

REAME

  • May provide an image in README to demonstrate MMCompression capability
  • There are some typos like MMSegmentation, not-exsiting notebook link
  • In Benchmark and model zoo part, may remove supported in the subtitles and add links for each algorithm
  • In Projects in OpenMMLab section, OpenMMLab Model Deployment Framework. is supposed to be modified as OpenMMLab model deployment framework.

Docker

  • Dockerfile needs to be updated. It is a copy of MMSegmentation's now.

code

  • docstring doesn't follow OpenMMLab rules, especially lack of examples
