Welcome to my world, a curious blend of code, caffeine, and a dash of Balkan humor. Here, every keystroke is a step into the unknown, much like finding a parking spot in downtown Rijeka.

I tread the road less traveled – mostly because it's less crowded. In the realms of Linux and zsh, I find my zen, and Sublime is my trusty sidekick, slicing through code like a hot knife through ajvar.

FOSS for me? It's not just a philosophy; it's like a good Rakija, strong, free, and open to everyone. It's about building a world where collaboration is the main course, and bureaucracy is just an unwanted side dish.

In the world of electrons, I am a seeker, a digital nomad (with a love for good Burek). They try to label us, but can they really grasp our thirst for knowledge? It's like explaining the rules of a Eurovision Song Contest to an outsider – complex, but fascinating.

Yes, I am what they whisper about in tech corridors. My crime? Endless curiosity. My sin? Turning complexity into simplicity. I judge not by what's on the screen, but by the creativity behind it. My joy? Outsmarting challenges, much like sneaking a Sljivovica into a non-alcoholic party.

Website down?

http://ivantomic.com/projects/ospnc/ gives me 502 Bad Gateway.

Different results for same search

I've gotten different results for the same search within seconds of executing the searches

Still maintained?

BitBucket?

I host all of my opensource stuff on BitBucket and was surprised to see that my project names come up as not in use because they're on BitBucket :-/

Missing depedency for request

It's not a big deal but there is a missing depedency in your package.json for the module "request".

npm install --save request solves the issue.

Cross-Origin issue

On Windows, when I open http://ivantomic.com/projects/ospnc/ in Google Chrome 40 (latest stable at the moment), in private mode with no extensions enabled, I got this in the console:

XMLHttpRequest cannot load http://ivantomic.com:8089/socket.io/?EIO=2&transport=polling&t=1423839586611-11. No 'Access-Control-Allow-Origin' header is present on the requested resource. Origin 'http://ivantomic.com' is therefore not allowed access. The response had HTTP status code 503.

I got the same result using Firefox 30.

Add synonyms check

Implement synonyms check in case Project name is already used.
For example:
http://words.bighugelabs.com/api.php

CLI version?

Just as an alternative to loading a browser for each name idea I might have.

NPM reporting package name taken when it is not

Using this URL: https://api.npmjs.org/downloads/range/last-day/lumin, ospnc says the name is taken when it is not: https://www.npmjs.com/package/lumin

socket.io timeout

When searching for a project name on the live website, nothing happens.

Upon inspecting chrome developer tools, I see the following error displayed:

Window is not scrollable

The content runs out of the window but I can't scroll.

Steps to reproduce

Open http://ivantomic.com/projects/ospnc/ in Firefox 35.0 or Safari 8.0
Enter a search query, e.g. "poet"
Wait for results
If you see 9 results, make the window smaller so that results disappear
Try to scroll

Expected behavior

I can scroll to see all results

Actual behavior

I can't scroll

GitHub API Failure

Apparently there's something wrong with the GH API being used. This is where a search for 'sock' takes you:

Character min length is actually 4, not 3

The minimum length for a project name is stated as more than 32, however, when entering a project name with 3 characters in length, the error to enter a project name of greater than 2 characters is shown.

OSPNC Reporting Incorrect Taken Name

Hi,
I was trying to check out some valid names at the OSPNC website, but it said that google code and codeplex have repositories with that name already taken. But when i went to check at the URL, their websites say "No project with that name found".

Add bitbucket and pypi to the list

Please add bitbucket and pypi to the list, it's easy to find Open Source projects hosted there not showing up in GitHub, Sourceforge or npmjs .... Fanery is just one example.

Emoticons are unclear

Does a happy face mean "yes, I've found a match", or "yay, this one's not taken"? Using only emoticons, with no legend for translating, is a bit vague.

Cool project, though, I'll definitely consult it next time I feel like starting something.

not working in Safari 7.1

I tried a few searches in Safari 7.1 but get no result (i.e., the results box doesn't even open).

Tried in Chrome to confirm it worked there. Here's some console output:

False positive for codeplex - parsing issue?

When I put in "mr-travers" as a potential name, the interface indicates that it's taken on Codeplex. So is "mr-travers-esquire". So I got a bit suspicious, and actually did a search on Codeplex myself, finding no results.

Ospmc instead of ospnc in the Getting Started section

Hi!

In your Getting Started section, you have the following text:

"You can just visit this page: ospmc or you can clone this repo install deps and start service on your own domain".

I guess you have misspelled ospnc!
