zerotohero-nuxt's Issues

Certain smaller languages are difficult to click

This issue was noted in the video introducing the language map, but it's present elsewhere too.

When trying to get to the Latin language (https://www.zerotohero.ca/en/la/), the map directs to the proper geographic area. In the case of Latin, it shares this area with Etruscan, and the link to the Etruscan language section covers Latin's link element to the extent that I could only expose the link to Latin in dev tools.

A couple of possible solutions:

  • Bringing the particular language into focus on the map when searched for (i.e. hiding other languages) would prevent link blocking.
  • Going straight to the language page or providing a link to it within the search bar would allow direct access for visitors who know which language they're looking for, although it does not directly address the blocking link blocking issue.
  • Introducing some sort of dynamic floating for languages on the map to prevent them from overlapping each other could be difficult, but it would prevent the undesired blocking and may even be aesthetically pleasing.

I don't have experience with Vue.js (although this project has inspired me to begin learning it ๐Ÿ˜„), or I would present this issue with a PR of some kind.

Tooltip on Flag hover

What's happening:
image

The tooltip doesn't match up with the flag as it's cycling. The tooltip displays the country of the flag that was displayed at the moment the tooltip is triggered. But, as the flags cycle, it doesn't update the tooltip.

Possible solutions:
Refresh the tooltip as it cycles. However, I can't find a way to do this.

Set the tooltip to display the language instead of the country.

Make it so the tooltip doesn't display.

Which option would be best?

Left Column Jitter on lesson change - Desktop

When changing between lessons on desktop, the left frame jitters vertically for about 200ms before finally settling.

UI: can't go back (easily) from Reddit page

Going back from the "Reddit posts" page isn't easy.

Reproduce:

Go to https://www.panlingo.org/en/sw/

Click on Reddit

This will open https://www.panlingo.org/en/sw/articles/reddit/

This will redirect to https://www.panlingo.org/en/sw/articles/reddit/list

Now if I click the "Back" button in my browser, it doesn't go back to the Swahili overview page, but it goes back to https://www.panlingo.org/en/sw/articles/reddit/ which against redirects to https://www.panlingo.org/en/sw/articles/reddit/list leaving me where I was before pressing the back button.

So the only way to go back is to click on back 2 times. I think that's not ideal.
