Hi,

Is there an intention to allow this action to deploy other branches?

I found your GitHub action on deploying to firebase. But I was unable to successfully apply this action. It keeps on failing with the response that it was unable to download lowply/build-hugo

Hello , i need to build an app with node.js, your existing action seems to work great for static files/repositories .
But i am not sure how it works with files that require node installed and setup.

I'd like to run npm run build in the dir before deploying - I'm not sure I follow the repo with being able to run custom commands (including only deploying certain targets, like hosting.)

Is this a capability in this package?

I wonder if my action setup is missing something (other than firebase.json). Where does it look for this file?

Have targets in use for the same hosting account . so need to mention target branch for each branch. Please add the support .

Greetings @lowply , I am having a challenge, setting up the build and deploy.

The first step I did, is

1. I ran the firebase login:ci and got the secret key
2. I added the secret key, to settings/secrets
3. I copied the deploy.yml file to the workflows folder
4. This is my deployed file - https://github.com/JamesVanWaza/badwf/blob/main/.github/workflows/deploy.yml
5. I am getting the following error, please assist. See screenshot attached.

There isn't that much information on how to make an env variable? It isn't a good idea to store it in a public action file (when it's NOT an env var)...

Would be cool to pass the fourth optional parameter which tells what exactly I want to deploy.
Maybe just as args string or as an array, like [hosting, functions, rules]

Instead of deploying the hosting only, would be nice to deploy all like functions, firestore, etc. You just need to remove the --only hosting.

Is there a way to deploy from Tag/Release instead of the branch?
