rerevfix's Issues

[Feature Request] Hide "Input Switch Notification" toggle

for those who haven't played the earlier Resident Evil games, you may have noticed a small pop-up text notification (for Resident Evil 5's case: the top left side) that appears everytime you between Controller-to-Keyboard/Mouse. For those who want to do a Mode Shift method of doing Gyro Aim in a similar way as my RE5 config, it can be distracting.

normally: there's a way to disable that via the ini files (HideInputNotification=ON), but I can't seem to find any information regarding RE Revelations's method, not even copy-pasting RE5's works. Using RERevFix's [Fix UI] can partially solve that issue, but the text is moved slightly outside of the screen, but that's more of an UI alignment issue alongside the map marker thing (which also affects Steam Deck if you set the Aspect Ratio to 16:10).

I wonder if there's any plans to add an HideInputNotification equivalent as part of RERevFix.

[Feature Request] Separate aim sensitivity?

Not sure if this would be possible, but I'd love to see aiming have it's own separate sensitivity. Vanilla game has the aiming sensitivity at least 1/3rd the value of the default/running around camera sensitivity, meaning no matter what you set mouse sensitivity to in-game, one of them is either way too high or too low. I'd love to just double the aiming sensitivity and keep my regular camera sensitivity as it is.

[Feature request] remove the 720p limit for pre rendered cutscenes.

As the title suggests, this game seems to have a limit on the resolution for pre rendered cutscenes. Anything above 720p videos causes the game to just crash while that cutscene video gets triggered.

This game uses wmv3/vc1 format. This format is very limiting. But 1080p 60 and 1440p 30 fps cutscenes should theoretically be possible. Resident Evil 6 uses the same wmv3 format and it's possible to get 1080p60 and 1440p30 videos to work on that game.

Ideally we'd want 4k60 fps cutscene support. But for now, even 1080p 60 cutscene support would be much better than the default 720p60 limit of this game [Yes, I've replaced the original 720p30 fps cutscenes with 720p60 fps cutscene videos and it works without crashing].
As for 4k support, maybe we have to somehow force the game to run videos of other formats.
