In tsconfig.json, the typescript target is es5. I got a pile of errors.
I changed that to es6 and it fixed the problem.
tsc && concurrently "tsc -w" "lite-server" fail on my system
While building example application with Angular 6, I found that MockXHRBackend class is not working properly with Angular 6 version. I got following error
