isa-bracket's Issues

Add further parameters for other cards

Hi,

This is a really nifty project, I wasn't aware of OpenSCAD before and it's pretty cool that there's a way to automatically create different iterations of a CAD model based on parameters.

This would be especially handy for people who want to whip up a quick ISA or PCI bracket for their card and print one out.

Right now this is hard coded for a ISA CF card; it would be nice if people could punch in the parameters from their PCB layout. I think what should be added is:

  • PCI or ISA (i.e. moving the mounting holes to either the top or bottom)
  • For an arbitrary amount of holes:
    • Hole location
    • Hole vertical offset
    • hole size
  • For an arbitrary amount of rectangular/trapezoidal cutouts (e.g. DB-15, HDMI, etc.)
    • X and Y locations of the four points
    • Horizontal offset
    • Vertical offset
    • Add mounting holes
      • Vertical offset
      • Horizontal offset

I started working on this a bit by adding selectable ISA/PCI, but I am not sure if OpenSCAD supports an arbitrary number of certain sets of parameters. Is this possible? If not, we could just do something like add 6 of each and just enable or disable them.
