Vaccination Corpus

Note: before cloning this repository, please read our Terms and Conditions.

This repository contains the annotations on the Vaccination Corpus, a corpus of texts related to the online vaccination debate that has been annotated with:

Three layers of annotations about perspectives: attribution, claims and opinions. 

Events related to the vaccination debate.

Senses of modal verbs (50 files)

Directories:

/docs: contains the annotation guidelines

/data: contains the annotations

  /annotation-xml-ehost: annotations in xml format (events claims, attributions, opinions, modal senses)
  
  /annotations-conll-opinions: annotations in conll format of opinions
  
  /annotations-conll-claims-events-attribution: annotations in conll format of claims, events and attributions

  /annotations-pickle: annotations as pickle objects of claims, events and attributions

/code: contains some code to load the annotations in Python

The corpus is described in the following paper:

  2. The Dataset should only be used for scientific or research purposes. Any other use is explicitly prohibited.
  3. The Dataset must not be provided or shared in part or full with any third party.
  4. The researcher takes full responsibility for usage of the Dataset at any time.
  5. Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam reserves the right to terminate the researcher’s access to the Dataset at any time.
  6. The place of jurisdiction is Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
  7. The data is distributed under ‘Fair use’ (Fair use policy in USA, Fair use policy in EU). Copyright will remain with the owners of the content. We will remove data from a publisher upon request.
  8. If any part of this agreement is legally invalid, this shall not affect the remaining agreement.
