ConnectFest 2019 Google VR Workshop

Requirements:

  1. A mobile device that can run Google Cardboard

How to test:

  1. A personal computer that can run Unity 3D with all items listed and configured as detailed below:
  • Unity is a free to use cross-platform game engine: please register(personal account) and install Unity. https://store.unity.com

  • Check the Android option when installing Unity3D if you will be developing for Android and making an Android build

  • Check the IOS option when installing Unity3D if you will be developing for iOS and making an IOS build.

  • Building for IOS requires Apple Developer Account.โ€ข

  • Download the latest Google VR SDK: https://github.com/googlevr/gvr-unity-sdk/releases

  1. Cables to upload the app from your computer to your to your mobile device.

We will have USB keys with the necessary software on them but getting everything setup ahead will allow you to get set up quicker and follow along easier in the workshop.
