Offering a more complete solution with XRTK

Hi guys,

Over at the XRTK, we've had native Magic Leap support for almost 2 years. I don't ever see MSFT officially supporting you guys, but we most certainly can. We are the original authors of the MRTK and have an in depth knowledge of how to better support your platform for specific needs.

We've already shipped a few projects on Magic Leap (Including one project that was a recipient of the Magic Leap Grant a few years ago).

We have a native solution for the Magic Leap that doesn't rely on any components from Unity's XR SDK or the Magic Leap XR Plugin, and calls directly into the native dlls. We support the native meshing, hands, and build processes via our build window.

Compile time error: The type or namespace name `InputSystem` does not exist in the namespace `CoreServices` (are you missing an assembly reference?)

Compile time error after following instructions to setup MRTK-MagicLeap package.

To replicate:

  1. Start new project.
  2. Follow instructions.
  3. Results in compile time error mentioned in title for all calls to CoreServices.InputSystem inside MagicLeapMRTKController.

Unity version: 2020.3.10
MRTK SDK: 2.7.0
Magic Leap SDK: 0.25.0
MRTK-MagicLeap: 1.3.1

Quick solution to fix is setting OverrideReferences to true for MagicLeap.MRTK.asmdf.

Test Project using MRTK-Magic Latest Version build error

I followed the instructions on my MacBook Pro as given in the documentation but still faced these 3 build errors -

-Error building Player because scripts have compile errors in the editor

-Build completed with a result of 'Failed' in 4 seconds (3861 ms)

It doesn't tell me which file has the compilation error. So how do i correct this?
