Dear all,

I tried to launch Osmconvert in order to convert europe.pbf file to .o5m extension, it is working fine when I work with smaller maps but with that one an error appears:

block data size too large: 208076

I am using a laptop with 32Gb of RAM, i7 processor, is it maybe an error related with laptop memory limit?

I discovered when running, e.g., "osmupdate -v 2020-04-01T21:57:00Z test.osc.gz " in the output osc file it will remove all lon and lat entities with in the element. The expected behavior is to maintain the data as it assembled the osc files from planet changeset files. please help. Thank you .

1. Download the following file

https://download.geofabrik.de/russia/northwestern-fed-district-latest.osm.pbf

2. Clip by polygon

osmconvert -v ./northwestern-fed-district-latest.osm.pbf -B=Russia_Nenets_Autonomous_Okrug.poly --complete-ways -o=nenetsconv.osm.pbf

3. The output pbf contains geometries outside the original polygon, see the highlighted geometries in yellow.
