Getting Started

Development

Install dependencies

npm install

Run the application

npm run serve

Project Structure

    core/           <-- Shared code among editor and renderer
        events/     <-- Editor and renderer communicate via events
        parser/     <-- Parse text into events
    editor/         <-- Text editor to modify the mindmap
    renderer/       <-- Rendering the mindmap

Development

GitHub Pages

GitHub Pages is used to deploy the website. The used plugin gh-pages builds a fresh copy to the gh-pages branch by running the command npm run deploy.

This setup will always deploy the website for the currently active branch.

Insertion of new lines destroys the graph

Insert lines in between Dog and Cat destroys the graph.

Fix indentation issues

Allow dragging of individual nodes

Renderer Out of Sync

When deleting a bunch of lines the renderer gets out of sync.

Proper rendering

Currently the renderer prints only one line of text. Bubbles do not scale with text.

Replace bubble with scaling rectangle
Activate dragging of nodes for better user experience

Add Prettier

Add prettier configuration for standard format.

Random start positions for new nodes

Currently nodes are stacked in a diagonal line on creation. Use random positions to update the graph properly.
