marticliment avatar marticliment commented on May 15, 2024 1

@Xzandro It will only hide the clock on the monitor where's the fullscreen app

Yes, this was what i was planning to do, because I also prefer it to show over fullscreen apps

It really is not great. Especially if you watch some kind of video or movie on fullscreen, where some controls tend to be at the bottom right. You constantly click on the clock instead of the video controls.

Oh, yes. That can sometimes get annoying. It would be nice if the clock isn't clickebale if it shows over Programs, that could eliminate my Problem with it.

I've added a "Hide" button on the system tray icon. This is not the solution, but may help while there's no final fix

Xzandro avatar Xzandro commented on May 15, 2024

Thanks! I wouldn't consider this a fix tho. Because it gets very tedious to hide and show the clock manually. Just say you watch a short video in full screen, you probably don't want to show/hide it every 5 minutes.

Ideally, this is automatic and also only on the screen where the fullscreened program is located at. Not sure if possible tho.

Well since some people prefer it to be on during fullscreen and some don't, I would suggest just adding a switch that enables it to stay up during fullscreen, but probably keep it hidden during fullscreen by default since that is what most people will be used to from Windows 10.

I do appreciate that half-fix though, but as Xzandro said, it's quite tedious to do manually when watching Youtube where oftentimes I find myself going in and out of fullscreen very often.

I've implemented a fix on that will be launched on version 1.8.

The thing is that if the clock is in a window where's a focused full-screen window it will hide. Otherwise it will show.

The switch still not atailable

Looking forward to this fix. It shows over remote desktop windows that already has a clock.

Thank you again. Lets say I have 3 monitors. When I have a game open on the main monitor it will still show the clock on the other monitors yea?

Or If I have a video open in fullscreen on my second (right) monitor and a game on my main, the clock should still be visible on my left (3rd) monitor. Is that how this will work then?

If it just auto hides all the clocks when a fullscreen app is running somewhere, that is probably not desirable.
