No this is not helpful. This file is not what must be in theme for displaying text on thumbnails.

The text-x-preview.icon file must be plain text file, contains text as you can see above in [Icon Data].

I can make this files myself, but I do not know correct parameters for TextRectangle. When parameters are incorrect the text on thumbnail is not in the icon (not centered and goes over the icon border). May be need some tests to fit this parameters to the icon image.
