one-pace-to-plex's Issues

Generate folder structure and manage files

This is more to gauge interest.

It should be fairly trivial to use the tvdb4 file to get the folder names for the plex folder structure it could be possible to add a flag to generate the folder structure. This is most helpful when first setting up the folders, but could be expanded to dynamically adjust the folders when new arcs are added (e.g. trials of koby meppo or adventures of buggy's crew).

One Piece [tvdb4-81797]
   ├───Arc 01 - Romance Dawn
   │ ├───tvdb4.mapping
   │ └───One.Piece.E1.1080p.mkv
   ├───Arc 02 - Orange Town
   ├───Arc XX
   └───Arc 32 - Wano

Another feature could be moving the actual video files to the appropriate folders based on the episode number and the tvdb4 file as well as copying one tvdb4 file to all the sub directories (useful in case the tvdb4 file is updated e.g. due to a bugfix, new episodes, etc).

I'd be more than happy to code this, but I'm just gauging interest on whether it would be of value.

Dressrosa

dressrosa isn't formated correctly from the one pace website to work for this

Confused as to what the end result is supposed to be.

While I appreciate the work that was put into this, I'm a bit confused as to what exactly it's supposed to do?

I was under the impression it would organize One Pace episode with the appropriate metadata. However from what I can see, all it does is merge episodes together and use the original metadata? Am I doing something wrong?

Just things I've noticed quickly:

  1. The series is organized in 32 seasons but those aren't named by arcs.
  2. The number of episode per arc doesn't match. It seems like episodes are named in a way that separates them into multiple episodes in Plex.
  3. The metadata for all episodes doesn't match One Pace. Seems to just name them after TVDB?
  4. First arc's special episode isn't placed in the first arc.

I think it would be very helpful if you could share an example of what the intended result is supposed to look like. Either I did not configure it correctly (but looking at troubleshooting and other threads everything seems to be fine naming wise + tvdb4.mappin file in each folder). It's also entirely possible this is not the result I was expecting or looking for, in which case I would have liked to just get a quick peek at what the end result will look like!

Cheers

Fishman Island

It incorrectly gives the wrong episode number for the fishman island episodes

Weird Matching

I got ASS and Hana running but for some reason the episodes and seasons don't match. I know that Season 3 Episode 1 of One Pace should be The Honorable Liar? Captain Usopp! but it is doing Season 3 Episode 9 of theTVDB and not using the absolute ordering.

I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. I tried messing with some settings but the mapping also seems to not work. Who knows, I'd love some help

Mostly everything is just one big mess

Hey. As far as I can tell, I named everything correctly, arranged it as you said, used ASS as the scanner and Hama as the agent and everything is a big mess.
Some episodes have the right title but not in the right season, some seasons are completely wrong in their matching, and much much more... Is this a mistake on my side? Did anything change since you made this?

Screenshots of my setup:

Screenshots showing things not working as intended:

(Just an example of this problem, Little Garden arc getting detected as Long Ring and Water 7. Some episodes are named correctly, some are totally different)

And this is only one of many occasions where this issue happens, where a bunch of seasons and episodes are messed up like this. I tried messing with settings, Plex Dance'ed multiple times, but nothing works :(

I just hope that this method still works because it's goddamn annoying to have to categorize this as "Other Videos" library in Plex, having no metadata and everything else.

"didn't match regexes" - help please

Firstly sorry, i just signed up to github just for this so not sure if i'm doing anything wrong by posting here. please let me know if there is a discord or something i should be going to instead.

I have Plex on my NAS and really interested in getting this to work and would really appreciate help!

Working through the steps:
Step 1:

  • I am able to get ASS and HAMA working fine.

Step 2:
Folder structure - is the folder structure displayed the end goal folder structure, or should i be setting up my folder structure like that first? Any attempt i make at running the rename.py through powershell gives me errors like you see in the attachment. I've tried all sort of permutations where the files are in the directories, outside of the directories, using recurses, changing the folder name to match with the folder structure in the instructions.

Although my plex directory is on my NAS, i'm not too well versed in how to use docker/python on there unless it's a literal step by step guide, so instead i'm trying to do this on Windows and using Powershell, and then just pasting the files into my nas directory where plex reads from.

What am i doing wrong?

side note, for powershell when i try to cd into any folder which includes [ ] it never works so i'm having to use the -literalpath command. not even sure at this stage if that means i'm using a different version of powershell that could also be contributing to it not working?

thanks!

One mkv file has 3 Entries in the library instead of just one

the library looks like this
image
Did the naming scheme with the python script, everything looks fine there naming wise

Folder structure is like this
Anime
├───One Pace
│ ├───One Piece [tvdb4-81797]
│ │ ├───Arc 30 - Whole Cake Island
│ │ │ ├───tvdb4.mapping
│ │ │ └───One.Piece.E777-E779.720p.mkv
│ │ │ └───One.Piece.E783-E785.720p.mkv
....
....
│ │ │ └───One.Piece.E876-E877.720p.mkv

One Piece has its on library with the One Piece [tvdb4-81797] folder being the that plex searches in
Absolute Series scanner and HAMA are also enabled and are working with my normal anime library.
Any idea what that might be?

208 Episodes Under Season 1

Looking for some general guidance or to be pointed in the right direction on this, but I'm getting over 200 episodes under the first season, and then the rest are divided between about 20 other seasons and the special.

My naming convention is correct and I've followed all of the steps, anybody have any insight on what part of the process is involved here? Relatively new to Plex
