homeassistantelectron's Issues

[Linux] desktop file is lacking a Categories= entry

The desktop file is lacking a Categories= entry in the *.desktop file.

According to the menu spec,

By including one of the Main Categories in an application's desktop entry file, the application will be ensured that it will show up in a section of the application menu dedicated to this category. If multiple Main Categories are included in a single desktop entry file, the entry may appear more than once in the menu.

Hence, please add at least one of the following in the Categories= key.

Main Category Description Notes
AudioVideo Application for presenting, creating, or processing multimedia (audio/video)
Audio An audio application Desktop entry must include AudioVideo as well
Video A video application Desktop entry must include AudioVideo as well
Development An application for development
Education Educational software
Game A game
Graphics Application for viewing, creating, or processing graphics
Network Network application such as a web browser
Office An office type application
Science Scientific software
Settings Settings applications Entries may appear in a separate menu or as part of a "Control Center"
System System application, "System Tools" such as say a log viewer or network monitor
Utility Small utility application, "Accessories"

In addition, you could specify one or more from the longer list of Additional Categories.

Please test the result with desktop-file-validate and make sure it passes.

electron-builder offers native support for this since v19.22.1.

Search capability

Love your app - really nice application specific browser for HA.
One thing I use a lot in chrome is in-page search - e.g. on the states page (http:///dev-state), where I have 100s of elements so search is invaluable.
Its the only thing I found that stops me adopting this completely.

Thanks!

No an issue but probably a stupid question

I notice in your README you have HA shown with different colours to the standard HA. How is that done?

Been stuck on HA 49.1 for a long time as I don't get a chance to keep upgrading. Only upgraded to 69.1 today. Is that a new feature on HA or in your Electron app ?

Great BTW

History Graphs in Cards Truncated.

I have noticed that history_graphs in cards are truncated rather than resized to fit the available card width. MacOS High Sierra 10.13.3. Hass .62.1 on Hassio. V1.1 of your (AWESOME!!!!!) app.

Here is a screenshot of the same card in the app and in Chrome 65 - same result in Safari.

currently have the following in configuration.yaml

frontend:
  javascript_version: es5

1b55c6d8-e8b6-4d5c-b4a2-99b388de0d38

New release please...

Any chance you could package up your menu and other fixes from 1.1? The Menu fix would be handy on MacOS - I tried to hack the js but caused other problems. Thanks.

$ npm test works.

Make it a UWP app - win10

Any chance you can make this a full Windows10 Store application? So it also always is the latest version (if there are any updates and the sorts?

cool program, keep it up :)

Error message on start, "Tray Error"

Hi!

On every start I'm getting:

Tray Error
Unable to connect to https://domain:port/My Nameapis/states?api_password=xyz

I masked the sensitive info.

After I click OK, it continues and seems to be working fine.

Service system_log/write called

Since 0.65.0 I get this

2018-03-12 08:17:08 ERROR (MainThread) [frontend.js.es5.201803100] /Applications/Home Assistant.app/Contents/Resources/app/src/preload.js:22:11 Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'querySelector' of null

5 times every second
when I close the electron app this stops

Configurator iFrame not working

I recently started using your this app to manage my home assistant and it is truly awesome! I am however having an issue with the configurator addon. I added it to my home assistant frontend using iframe and it is also using SSL along with a username and password. I'm not sure if you can fix it but if you could that would be awesome! Also if you could get html5 notifications working with electron (if that is even possible) that would even cooler!

Tiles not aligned

On edge, I noticed one isseu, When opening in the application the tiles in the groups on screen do not align properly, it seems the groups are aligning with the Home assistant border and not with the border underneath wit in my case a few views. However when resizing the application the groups align properly. I am using the newest version (1.01), on a Windows 10 (64-bit version 1709) machine.
