I am a developer who enjoys writing Javascript and Node.js. I am not afraid to get my hands dirty to find the most suitable solutions for the project’s requirements.

Ultimately, my goal is to become awesome at writing simple, robust, scalable and readable code - through practice, learning and applying different programming paradigms, and by studying the approaches of other developers.

Web Developer (Nov 2016 - Present)

Associate Web Developer (Jan 2016 - Nov 2016)

  • Work mainly on greenfield projects, developing for top agencies in the UK.
  • Completing projects from start to finish, alone and in small teams.
  • Being sent out to agencies to start or work on existing projects.
  • Write bespoke build tasks and complex scripts to automate processes used by other developers.
  • Play ping pong after work :)

Web Developer (Aug 2015 - Nov 2015) 4-Month Contract

  • Worked on a confidential localisation project for one of the biggest tech companies in the world.
  • I have developed skills that allow me to rapidly get familiar with a large codebase, write high quality, maintainable code, as well as responsive design, work with a multidisciplinary team, have great attention to detail and meet tight deadlines comfortably.

Full Stack Freelance Developer (Mar 2015 - Aug 2015)

  • Worked on MVPs and projects to create web applications for clients across Europe.

8-Week Intensive Web Development Course (Jan 2015 - Mar 2015)

  • A life changing experience. I discovered my love for web development, learned a tremendous deal and above all, learned how to learn and help others learn.
  • As well as learning the skills outlined, I learned test driven development, agile methodologies and pair programming.
  • I helped teach the course at Founders & Coders by creating learning materials, contributing to the curriculum and mentoring.

Clinical Data Manager (May 2013 - Feb 2015)

  • Promoted from Clinical Trials Assistant at the MRC Clinical Trials Unit at UCL.
  • Worked on a number of observational studies and prospective cohorts of children and adults living with HIV.
  • UCL Athena SWAN committee member working to ensure gender equality in the STEM fields.
  • Member of the CTU Twitter committee, representing the unit on Twitter.
