rule_engine's Introduction
This project calculates price for items scanned during checkout and applies discount rules specified in pricing_rules/list.rb as a hash of options. Interface for checkout object is as specified in description of this task: co = Checkout.new(pricing_rules) co.scan(item) co.scan(item) price = co.total Where pricing_rules is an array of keys for hashes specified in pricing_rules/list.rb. item is symbolized product code (e.g. :FR1) To see how it all behaves install gem rspec and run command rspec in terminal in root directory of this folder.
