What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. generate framework app whose main display is of or extends ImageView
2. use DemoPopupWindow with ImageView as argument to DemoPopupWindow constructor
3. note that the popupwindow does not display

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
expected to see popup window or exception detailing what was missing.  No 
exception, no popup window.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Emulator using Android 2.0, though I doubt the version makes much difference

I know the source I ported in works because the popup window is displayed as 
long as I don't use an ImageView as the constructor argument.  It's not 
something as simple as my branching in the source from simple-quickactions 
being bad.
I experimented with the setBackgroundDrawable() method but it didn't seem to 
have any effect.

This looks simpler & with less code...I've just made the class extends from 
PopupWindow ,instead of coding smth like
  public void dismiss() { this.window.dismiss();}
 ..hope this would make like easier,isa :)

To support Android down to 1.5 you just need to remove the @Override 
annotations above the onClick and onTouch methods. I've tested this on the 
emulator and it works perfectly.
